This past year I have had the pleasure of getting to know the amazing people behind NC4K. After learning of this non-profit, I knew it was one that I needed to be involved with. It has been an honor and a privilege to serve this community, spreading cheer to all of the NC4K families at their events with balloon decor. I care deeply for this community and look forward to partnering with them for the foreseeable future.
NC4K is a non-profit on a mission to make sure No Kid Fights Cancer Alone. They do this by providing financial support, emotional support, and events for play for families living in or being treated in the state of Ohio.
NC4K started as a fashion show in 2007 after the founder, Nellie lost her grandmother. One model who participated that first year was Eden, who was battling cancer for the 2nd time. When Nellie met Eden, she knew that this “one-time” fashion show was meant to be something even more. Nellie created NC4K to support kids, like Eden, during their fight with cancer. She wanted to show them that No Kid Fights Cancer Alone. Today, NC4K is so much more than just a fashion show.
For over 10 years, they have supported the pediatric cancer community. To date, they have welcomed over 600 registered NC4K families. In the past two years alone they have distributed over $179,000 in financial support to families, welcomed 139 new NC4K families, and hosted 19 Events for Play!
