Galentine's Night In

Grab your gal's because we're sharing the ultimate guide to Galentine's Night In! With the help of my bestie Katie, the owner of Eat Pretty Darling, we created a the perfect girls night in with yummy food + drinks, pretty pink balloons, and lots and lots of laughs!

Hi! I'm Katie and I am the photographer and recipe developer behind Eat Pretty Darling. Erin and I met in college at Ohio University in a dance group and have been friends for 14 years!! We live an hour away from each other so we took our Galentine's celebration to the next level in a cute little tiny house but you can totally do this in the comfort of your own home too!

First let's talk about food. Nothing is easier, or more enjoyed, than a charcuterie board ( aka adult lunchable ). These can really be customized to your taste but we went with a simple variety of meat, cheese, crackers, jam, nuts, and sweets! I love to put salty and sweet on the same plate so you can pick and choose. Fresh fruit is a great addition but we were running out of room and cheese and chocolate were a priority for us! Tip: A lot of stores carry mini charcuterie lunchables or whole charcuterie trays. Grab those and set them out on a nice board to save time. No one will know, it's our little secret!

For us a pink drink is a MUST! We took the classic Moscow Mule and turned it pink by using a hibiscus ginger beer. It's sweet and bubbly and enjoyed even more through a silly straw. The recipe is for 1 drink but you can make a whole pitcher right before everyone arrives so you can keep the drinks flowing!

Mix it all together in your glass and serve over ice. A fun cup or straw isn't necessary but it definitely made it more fun to drink!

Now it isn't a party without the proper decor and Erin always has something pretty up her sleeve! This little balloon garland makes the atmosphere extra special. Her grab-and-go garlands come with everything from easy instructions and all of the supplies you need to hang the garland on your own. It doesn't get much better than that!

So grab your girlfriends and plan a special night together because these relationships need to be celebrated too! I haven't laughed as much as Erin and I did in forever. Your girls night doesn't need to be over the top but these thoughtful details made for a really memorable time together. Happy Galetine's!!
