Young + Wild Celebrates 2 Years!!

It’s so hard to believe that it’s already been two years of Young + Wild Balloon Co! When I started this little business, I never imagined that it would grow to be what it is today. I’ve had the most incredible opportunities over the last two years and I’ve met people I would have never met and I’m so grateful for it all! This business was born just a few months shy of the world shutting down and it only survived because of the amazing community surrounding it. I say it often, but it’ll never be enough— I have the very best community, my “party animals”. And you know what Party Animals do best? They party, duh!

So, in true Young + Wild fashion, I threw myself a party. I’ve never been the modest type, so

it just made sense. I’ve also never really been subtle, so it was quite a spectacle! Complete

with over-the-top decor, the best vendors in Columbus, and the most beautiful venue too.

I hosted the soirée at The Merchant, located in Olde Towne East. I fell in love with this venue a few months back when I was there styling an event for a client. This historic building is used for co-working by day, and event rental by night and weekend. It is owned by a dynamic duo, Melissa and Danielle. They opened just before the pandemic as well, and I immediately connected with them and their space. The Merchant boasts a very spacious and stylish patio that is perfect for entertaining. The indoor area is chic, modern, cozy, and sexy all at the same time. No detail was overlooked when they designed The Merchant, and you can feel the soul they poured into this building the moment you walk in.

Let’s talk food! I knew I wanted a huge grazing table and that it had to be over-the-top! Lucky for me, my bestie Katie of Eat Pretty Darling knows her way around a wheel of cheese, and can make anything look amazing! She pulled together the most gorgeous feast for my guests, complete with ten pounds of cheese! We had all the jams and fruit and crackers and nuts your heart could desire! It was delicious and almost too pretty to eat…almost!

Our grazing table was made complete with sweet treats from my friend Mandy from Sugar Rush Columbus. The Animal Cookie cupcake was my personal favorite. Smother anything in Sugar Rush’s buttercream frosting and it's guaranteed to be a hit!

I think the biggest hit of the party was the Bloom Bar by my friend Dana at Joy Lane Florals. Each guest had the opportunity to build their own bouquet with the help of Dana. She brought a variety of blooms with her and set up the cutest display! We had so much fun putting together our bouquets and they all turned out differently, but all so gorgeous!

I had a blast in our open air photo booth, set up by my friend Gisselle at Baci Booths! She has the best backdrops and the one we chose for the party was so cute! You know we had to attach some balloons to it! The thing I love most about Baci Booths is the variety of options you have when you step up to the photo booth screen. You can take boomerangs, gifs, or traditional photo booth photos. There are tons of filters to choose from too, if that’s your thing.

She even personalized the frame around the photos with my signature confetti and logo! When we got done snapping our photos, we could enter our phone numbers to receive them by text and at the end of the night, I received a link with all of the images.

No event is complete without a swag bag! Each guest left with a tote bag full of goodies from some of my favorite businesses. Before we talk about the contents, we need to discuss the perfection that is the tote bag itself. I worked with Abigail at Ohiowa Promo to pick the perfect bag. We chose a large tote bag in a chrome silver finish with a fuchsia “party animal” imprint. The imprint was a custom design by Katie at Eat Pretty Darling. I’m obsessed with these totes and can’t wait to head to Trader Joe’s to fill it with my next grocery haul.

Inside the swag bag, I worked with so many of my friend-ors to spoil my guests! A special thanks to everyone that contributed, please check them out! Ohiowa Promo, Calypso Bead Bar, Cordray Orthodontics, Oasis Face Bar Columbus, Natterdoodle, Beauty Counter by Brett Letestu, Joy Lane Florals, Baci Booths, Fortuna June, Eat Pretty Darling, and Sugar Rush Columbus.
